2026 Cohort: Child-Family Separation

Part of our work on: Global Frontline Leaders

The 2026 Global Frontline Leaders Program amplifies the work of individuals around the world who are developing innovative approaches to preventing and responding to child-family separation, including state-sponsored separation. Running from January to November 2026, the program connects frontline service providers, policymakers, and researchers with the expertise, tools, and networks they need to document and share their approaches in a published paper. The 2026 cohort brings together leaders from Cambodia, Honduras, Indonesia, Uganda, and Ukraine.

The program builds lasting relationships among frontline leaders, program alumni, and distinguished guest speakers. Together, they form a global network committed to helping children grow up in caring, protective families.

The Georgetown University Collaborative on Global Children’s Issues provides a rigorous curriculum combining technical expertise, leadership development, peer learning, and networking. With support from a leadership coach, participants explore how to apply their learning to their ongoing work in direct service, policy, and research.
