Ian Manzi
Collaborative on Global Children's Issues
Ian S. Manzi (G’23) is the program manager for the Collaborative for Global Children’s Issues at Georgetown University. Throughout his career, Manzi has been committed to driving positive change in the international development, education and child protection, and public policy sectors. His expertise extends to strategic planning, research, and effective project implementation aimed at achieving social impact and sustainable development. He has earned a Master of Public Policy degree with a Global Human Development Certificate from Georgetown University and a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Rochester.
- Worked at the Agahozo-Shalom Youth Village, a transformative community in Rwanda that empowers orphaned, refugee, and vulnerable youth, through healing, education, and love, to build dignified lives and contribute to a better world. Agahozo-Shalom Youth Village is where Manzi discovered his passion for child protection, human development, and human security issues.
- Co-founded and served as the Programs Coordinator for Critical Thinking for P.E.A.C.E, a peace education and youth empowerment project that sought to engage with Rwanda’s future leaders and equip them with the skills and insights necessary to adequately take up the mantle of sustaining peace and development in their communities.
- Volunteered as a peer mentor and program trainer for the U.S. State Department-funded Pan-African Youth Leadership program.
